Privacy Policy
How we process your personal data.
1. What data we collect
We collect the information you provide when you create an account, post content, or contact us. This may include email address, username, profile picture, and trading activity.
If you connect your broker account via your own API keys, we process the transaction data, positions, and results (PnL) that your broker makes available via the API, in order to show your performance and calculate your TSR (trading skill rating). We do not receive, handle, or forward orders on our own behalf or for compensation — the API connection is between you and your broker, with Tradeification acting as the technical intermediary for the interface.
2. How we use your data
Your data is used to operate and improve the service, send important notifications, manage your account, and fulfil legal obligations.
2.1 Newsletter
If you subscribe to the AMO Trades newsletter, we store your email address and optional first name to send marketing emails. Processing is based on your explicit consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You confirm your subscription via a link in the email (double opt-in). Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can contact AMO Trades at info@amotrades.app at any time to stop receiving the newsletter.
2.2 Retention period
We retain your personal data for as long as you have an active account with us. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data without undue delay, except where we are legally required (e.g. accounting or anti-money-laundering regulations) to retain certain information for a longer period.
2.3 Legal basis and supervision
We process your personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which applies in all four countries. For Norway, GDPR applies via the EEA agreement and the Norwegian Personal Data Act (personopplysningsloven). If you have questions about your rights under local law, you can contact the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (SE), Datatilsynet (NO/DK), or the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (FI).
3. Cookies
We use essential cookies for login and session management. With your consent, we also use analytical cookies to understand how the service is used.
With your consent, we also use cookies for marketing and ad attribution. Your choice is stored in a consent cookie that applies to this website only, and you can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings.
4. Third parties
We may share data with trusted providers who help us operate the service (e.g. hosting and email), under strict confidentiality agreements.
We never sell your personal data.
If you consent to marketing in the cookie settings, we may measure conversions (e.g. login and registration) via server-side Google Tag Manager (sGTM). Data may then be shared with third-party platforms for ad measurement, such as Meta via Conversions API (CAPI), including hashed identifiers and technical parameters.
Without your consent, no such marketing data is forwarded. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the cookie settings.
Email delivery (Resend)
We use Resend, Inc. as a data processor to send transactional emails and newsletters to subscribers who have given consent. Resend does not set marketing cookies in the browser. Data such as email address and first name may be processed in the United States with appropriate safeguards under Resend's data processing agreement.
5. Your rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. You can also restrict or object to processing. Contact us to exercise these rights. You can request an export ("data portability") or deletion directly under Settings → Account → My data, or by contacting us as described in point 6. We respond within one month in accordance with GDPR Article 12.
